Hera was an Olympian goddess, and a central figure in the Greek pantheon. She was born to Cronus and Rhea, two of the Titans who ruled before the Olympians overthrew them during the Titanomachy War. Hera's siblings were Olympian gods as well. Hera was the queen of the gods and the protector of women. She was the wife of Zeus, who was rampant with infidelity. As such, Hera contrived several jealous plots to get rid of Zeus's many mistresses and illegitimate children.
